wrx 03 rear door speakers
#1
I am going to change the speakers on my wrx saloon over Xmas. Thanks to this web site i am going to fit Pioneer TS-E1775 in the front and planning to fit TS-E1395 13CM DIA,58 MM DEEP IN the rear doors.
Can any body comment on my plans, suggest better or confirm that the rears will fit?

Some info here on the Infinity 552i's that I fitted. It is very likely you will need to cut some of the inner door skin to fit your Pioneers.
Another problem to watch for is that if the TS1395 mid-range/tweeter stands proud of the mounting bracket it may foul on the door card as there is very little room to spare.
If I'd known the hassle it was going to be to fit 13cm speakers I wouldn't have bothered and would have gone for 10cm ones.

I fitted the TSE 1375. I used a 6mm MDF ring cut to the outline of the all in, moulded plastic speaker!
The only issue is that the front of the speaker is very close to the door card.
The depth isn't an issue in the back as the window doesn't come down that far.
Best of luck

ps I fitted Infinity 6000cs in the front with a 12mm MDF ring

I got the 5.25" Pinoeers into my back doors, by mounting them behind the metal door skin - no cutting, just a small (6mm I think) MDF spacer.
IMHO, I'm not convinced it was worth the hassle, as the back door speakers are not in a very good position, IMHO. Much happier since I installed some gently amped 6.5" Infinity components in my rear shelf.
