Question

I have an MY03 STi8 with the standard ICE set-up + a Kenwood 6 CD Changer.

I need advice on what I should go for to improve things. I want a SECS data monitor from Santa so I am looking at the following: -

New head unit
New front speakers
New rear speakers

I am not into AMPS, Subs, Crossovers etc and I don't want to have to make bigger holes for the replacement speakers.

I also need the whole lot fitting as I don't do car electrics.

Over to you for your recommendations...........

TONY

Hi
I like a good sound but not the cables and crosssovers that go with it. I am not into competition sound and like a straight forward head unit that has reasonable sound quality but does not cost you a mortgage.

I am replacing my standard unit with the following.
Alpine 9812RB head unit which cost 279.99 from halfords
Kicker 6 inch components for the front door panels 99.00
Kicker 6 x 9 for the back parcel shelf 99.00
Fitting for the head 35
fitting for the front speakers 30
fitting for the rear spekers custom build 60

So for around 602.99 you get a sound system that sound good and is clean and simple

Tony,

I'll fit it for beer - you should know that. Sorry I didn't phone back, I forgot

Give us a tinkle and we'll work out fitting once you know what you want
Cheers,
Nick.

Just had a Blaupunkt Woodstock (DAB) CD / MP3 headunit fitted this afternoon by Halfrauds.
Price: £239.99 Here
which includes free fitting and a glass DAB arial.

Sounds very good and loads of DAB stations to choose from.

Tony
