Wiring a 1 Farad Capacitor
Need some advice. I think you wire up a 1 Farad Capacitor as positive to cap then to amp from the same connector and the negitive straight to a ground point. so the postive would have 2 wires and the neg 1 wire. is this correct or put me right if need be.

It should go directly in the power lines to the amplifier, in parallel. Therefore cut the +ve line, fit two ring connectors to the ends, then connect both of these ends to the capacitor +ve terminal. Repeat with the -ve wire for the -ve terminal.
Remember to charge it up before making the +ve connection, otherwise you'll get a massive spark and blow a fuse when you connect the battery back up!! Charge it by holding a 12v bulb (e.g. indicator bulb) between the +ve power line and the +ve on the capacitor, when the -ve lines are already connected.
Makes a big difference in my system - before I had problems with the lights dimming on the dials in time with the bass . Now, nothing
