Default Boot really vibrating and sounding nasty

Just fitted a big system to a mates RB5 inside it sounds awesome, outside it sounds rubbish with everything flapping

Has anyone got any good ideas for surpressing this ? I thought venting the boot into the passenger compartment might help. Thoughts please ?

Thanks Phill

A good way to deaden the vibration is to buy a few pillows and fill all the bodywork with them. Not only does this stop the vibration it is also lighter than dynomat or any of the other sound deadening materials meaning it will not slow you down so much. I did this to my MY01 and the vibrations stopped.

Have you still got the OEM speakers fitted to the rear. I left mine fitted and the sub destroyed them, also helps the sub pass the air around the cabin better. I can feel the cold air being pushed out of the boot now by the sub.

My boot lid and rear bumper rattle like mad, and spoil the sound outside the car, but i'm working on it with sound deadening on the boot lid, 2 layers of it, and spray-on dynamat in the places the normal stuff don't get to. Just got to do something with the rear bumper now!!!

Talking seal it up with sikaflex....

get some dynamat and line the boot lid internally, i also found by using sikaflex car body sealant to stick the inner boot skin to the outer this helped loads. If you look closley on the inside of the boot it is only stuck in places and thats the majority of the rattles.. Spoiler is another story at the moment.

My boot sounds like a £60,000 bmw when it shuts now !!
