Hi All

Anyone got around the bad radio reception problem in the new age impreza I have an STi8 and the aerial is integral with the heated rear screen element and it's pretty crap!

I reall don't want to stick a hole through the roof for an external aerial, so is there a booster or something, or has anyone heard of an aerial that transmits through the glass like some car phone aerials?

Any help would really be appreciated...

 

Couple of questions

1. Have you replaced your headunit from standard?
2. If yes to 1. above, have you connected the remote turn on lead on the headunit to the aerial connection.
3. Have you fitted an amplifier?

Hi I too have just replaced my non std Kenwood unit with a spanking new Pioneer DEH-P77MP.

Reception on my Kenwood I admit was not brilliant but on this unit it is unlistenable on all frequencies.

I have the remote cable triggering my amp and the arial from the car is definitely plugged into the headunit.

I even tried swapping back to test it.

Is there anything else I could try???
