DAB radio
Has any had experience with fitting a head unit with digital DAB radio in a new age wrx? I gather they need a dedicated aerial but I don't know if the built-in aerial of a MY05 wrx will do. Thanks.

Been there tried that.
Ive got the pioneer hideaway DAB tuner. Originally tried the JVC interior stick on window element, then tried the Blaupunkt External stick on window aerial (old stlye GSM antenna with adaptor lead). Got really poor reception with both ended up fitting Pioneers own body mount beesting type on roof and get great reception.
The element in the rear screen used for FM is no good as it is horizontal and DAB needs vertical. Don't know how the head units vary with different antennas as some people report good results using Blaupunkt antennas with the Woodstock range of head units.
Besides I now like the look of the beesting now its fitted and am glad I took the plunge and drilled that hole

I have a WoodStock DAB 52 in my Outback and before that it was in my Legacy. Don't get a stick on inside glass DAB aerial they are crap. I use a Panorama external glass stick on aerial (as sold by Blaupunkt dealers) reception is very good but the sticky pads don't work that well, might follow Rob and go for a roof mounted aerial.
