Default How do you upgrade the sounds on an e46 Harman Kardon/sat nav car?

I am due to get a BMw 330ci convertible this week, and I am wanting to upgrade the sounds as they sound awful.

The car has the TV/satnav (not the widescreen version), and the HK 'upgrade'...

I want to keep the tv/sat nav unit, but I want to add an amp and sub, and upgrade the front speakers.

Is this possible on this setup? Does the headunit have amp preouts?...can I put another sub where the current HK one is?

I know these Qs would be probably better on a BMW forum, but I like this forum!

Thanks in advance.

the BMW system does not have any line outputs that you can really use, you would be better off talking to someone like http://www.prestigeaudio.co.uk/auto/home.php as they are the kind of people who would do plenty with this type of situation
