iPod question
I have got a Pioneer DEH-P77MP head-unit which is connected to a 6-disc changer by a cable which has din-plus on either end.
I'd like to attach an iPod up to the head unit, possibly using the CD-IB100 Pioneer attachment which will allow me to control the iPod from the head unit.
So, my first question is this: Does this Pioneer gadget work with my head unit?
Next: i really don't want to lose my cd-changer. I know a lot of you will wonder why, since i can rip most of my cd's into mp3's then transfer them onto the iPod. But i'm stuck in my ways, so there you go.
The next question is, then:
Can i attach the iPod up to my head unit using the IP-bus connector (if the head-unit has one) as i'm assuming the cd-changer isn't plugged into the IP bus connector?
Lastly: My current MP3 collection only runs to about 535 tunes, so what would be the best model of iPod to get (not interested in the one that does pictures) and where is the best place to get one?
Many thanks
Andy

YES IT WILL

YES, THE IPOD CONNECT TO THE HEAD UNIT USING THE IP-BUS CONNECTOR, THEN THE CHANGER WILL PLUG INTO THE iPOD INTERFACE
Lastly: My current MP3 collection only runs to about 535 tunes, so what would be the best model of iPod to get (not interested in the one that does pictures) and where is the best place to get one?
I HAVE JUST OVER 2200 ON MINE WHICH USES JUST UNDER 20GB, I HAVE A G3 40GB VERSION, DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DO NOW BUT IT GIVES YOU AN IDEA OF HOW MUCH SPACE IS USED.
Many thanks
NO PROB
