Default Wow!

Ive just picked up the car from K&M Accoustics in Wigan, they have fitted my 10" kicker sub and alpine V12 MRV-F400 amp to the back of the rear seat, leaving the middle clear for the ski hole to the boot.

The way they have set it up is 35 on the HU (max) sets the amp to its optimal and 15 for the sub channel (max) is optimal for the sub....
They have wired my std rear speakers in with the front infinity 6500's on 2 channels of the amp, 2x60wrms. The sub, they have bridged 2 channels to give 160wrms.

The sound, surprised really.... absolutely fantastic, but not VERY loud, but loud enough...
The sub is subtle but punchy, the mids, well i've never had mid bass like it in a car. I asked them to redo the crossover to std rather that the -3db for the tweeters, and it definitely has brought the highs to be crisp and alive.

Im very happy with the setup now, from the outside, their is not masses of rattles apart from the bumper. But I suppose the public can live with that.

The interior, no signs of any rattles at all, but ive only been listening to Pink Floyd so far.... ill have to see how some heavy dance tunes are handled, but i always seem to get awful economy when I play that side of my collection .

Very, very happy.
