Default Blown Amp ?

Hello !

I have a rockford punch alpha 150 amp. Wired it to my ( non Subaru ) car and the thing wont work. Im sure the wires are live ( checked with multimeter ! ) but get on "operational" red light.

i have assumed that the + is for positive , but can anyone just clear up the negative / earth link ? b ground is what i reckon ..

Cheers guys ...

Normally on an amp you'll get + to connect to the +12V battery terminal, - to connect to the 0V battery terminal (this is normally connected to the car's chassis somewhere instead, as this is in turn connected to the battery 0V) and a remote switch-on terminal, which needs to be connected to a switched +12V (generally from the head unit) in order for the amp to function.

To test an amp you can connect this remote switch-on terminal to the +12V terminal.
