New Age Front Speakers...
Hi guys, having seen a number of posts regarding the issues with fitting speakers in the narrow depth available in the new age Impreza you might be interested in these speakers from Rainbow:

I've just fitted the 5 1/4" CLX230 versions and the quality is awesome -the sound stage is amazing, really sounds like the musicians are playing live from your dash, vocals are clear and precise and the mid range is superb - guitars, for want of a better term, rock! Unfortunately, I'd not seen the narrow mount versions but as the Mrs is away next week the 5 1/4's might find their way in to the back! ;o)
Yes, they're £100 more than the ubiquatous Infinity's but, having compared the two in the shop install, the difference in clarity really is worth the exta cash.... go on, treat yourself!
If you did want to save a bit of cash and go for the 6.5" CLX's they will fit (just) but you may find issues with fouling on the door card (you have a maximum of 65mm, allowing for about 5mm clearance between the window, to play with for the mounting depth and height of the cone (the CLX650s have a mounting depth of 63mm), so it is very fine.
Will update the post once I've slept on it and convinced myself to get the plastic out!
