Some ICE info required for the Skyline.

Folks,
I know that you are more experienced with the Impreza, but would be grateful if you could shine some light onto a few issues I have with regards to my in car entertainment.
If you can see from the images below (sorry, these are the best I have) I have the following components from top to bottom:
1) Multi Function Display Unit (acts as a display for all the items below it)
2) Sat Nav and TV controller
3) Air Con controller
4) Stereo
Now the Sat Nav is completely defunt, it only works in Japan and the TV is set for Japanese frequencies (UK cars don't get this, they come with an extra compartment) so I only use it as a source for my CD. The stereo below it acts as the volume control and radio. All the settings for this stereo are displayed on the MFD above.
Still with me?
I have 2 issues:
1) Is there anyway of making the TV tune into UK frequencies? I have spoken to a few reputable ICE specialists, they don't think it's possible. Can it really be so hard?
2) I want to change my stereo (which relies on the Sat Nav for the CD player and the MFD for the visual display) for this MP3 player everyone is raving about.
So, your opinions are mucho appreciated, I hope I haven't lost you and before you ask, the GTR club are also lost with this
Cheers,
Cem

Sorry - don't really know much about that sort of thing, but just wanted to say that I love the rev counter 1 and 2000 rpm being small and insignificant and then three onwards being bolder Great touch
You must be able to get the TV part adapted for UK frequencies, surely its a similar thing to sorting out the FM on the radios.......

Wotcha Cem, lovely car!
The one thing you can do is modify your stereo to receive UK RADIO frequencies...
The TV will be a different beast. I would think there would be a way but it may involve hacking into the heart of the electronics which will not be easy at all - surface mount technology is not easy to work with.
The interesting challenge is to find out how "integrated" it is, and whether you can remove one bit and still have the display working. I haven't found anything on the web yet, but will have a scout around.
