i removed the rear speakers and replaced them with some infinity 6.5" components.
All you need to do is make the holes bigger in the mounting plates, and drill new holes in the plates to screw the speakers into. I then mounted the tweeters flush into the rear shelf.

Personally, I can NEVER understand why folk buy speakers just because they fit? After all, would you choose your next car, JUST because it fit the garage?
DON'T buy speakers without heraring them.....you might HATE the sound.
I did loads of listening, blind testing etc, and liked the sound of Sony stuff, so that's what I bought. Yes they have MDF spacers, but those in the front are hidden, and those in the rear are covered in carpet, so who cares?

ok but cant imagine getting much un distorted bass out of components?? like i say i just need a really nice set-up.. nice loud volume with good range of speaker output eg high and low frquency and as least distortion as possible say if you get into an audi RS6 fully loaded the sounds from them are crisp bassy loud and undistorted! sound amazing just want the scoob to be the same!
