iPod EA1251E interface and Clarion ADZ628R
Hi all,
Just added the EA1251E interface from Clarion to the ADZ628R. For those of you running this fairly basic head unit, it is a very worthwhile modification which took me 30 minutes.
To Install you dont even need to remove the stereo! Just remove the fascia and reach to the back of the head unit (lower left hand side as you face the head unit) plug in the interface cable. I just routed the cable though and attached the interface to the rear of the glovebox with 2 screws, routed the iPod interface wire into the glovebox and hey presto, done!
Sound quality from a Nano is as good as CDs through the standard speakers. The unit emulates a 6 CD multichanger, where Disc 1 is all songs stored on your iPod and Discs 2 to 5 are actually mapped to playlists you create called clarion1,2,3,4 and 5. Remember you aleady have disc one as all songs anyway. It also charges the iPod while connected. Well worth £69 delivered.
Hopefully this will be of use to someone, as I could find no reviews anywhere on this unit.
