**URGENT** sound deadening wheel arches
#1
So I've prised off the Subaru plastic/felt surround, do I smother the whole wheel arch in brown bread, down to the boot line, or just the top bit, the side bit or what?
also there are no instructions I can see with the brown bread, so how do i fit it?
cheers,
greg

Greg.
First of mate.Clean with white spirit any surface you wish to S/D. let it dry. Cut sections of B/B and lay it in place. I use a wall (£3)paper rolling tool .Using a hairdrier, warm the B/B up a bit and roll it hard to help it stick and get rid of any bubbles( Not that prat from Big Brother!!). The heat really does help it stick. Go for 2 layers if you can.
be lucky

You should do as much as possible!! If the amount of brown bread you've bought wont fit the whole area either:
a) Buy some more!! You want to cover as much as poss!!!
b) Cut "rectangles" out of the stuff and ensure you get it over as much of an area as possible. It still works in patches - a small amount can deaden a large area (try the knuckle test and you'll see what i mean). I used a wallpaper roller!! Really rub it into the bodywork!!
Lukes tips on application are spot on. Remember not to touch your face after you've touched the sticky stuff cause i came out in a rash!!!!
