poor radio reception wrx 53
Hey all,
My first post on here after getting my lovely wrx 53 blobeye and ive got a problem....
Just put in a pioneer head unit, and now the radio reception is really bad. Ive read about connecting the aerial power to the headunits 'blue remote power' wire, but does anyone have a picture of which wire is the aerial power connector from the car?
Any help aprieciated....

had the same problem with my pioneer avic xr1, i took the easiest option & took a trip to my local ice shop - £20 & 10 minutes later perfect radio reception. i thought it was better & safer to leave it to the experts.

This has been covered before. You have an amplifier for the rear screen aerial which needs 12v supply on a blue wire? I guess this is now not getting the supply it needs to work hence no reception.

Chaps.....
What do you do to power the aerial if you need the remote (blue) wire to connect to an amp (to switch it on with ignition power)..can you splice into the blue cable and run a feed to the aerial ?
Cheers........

thanks 4 that....two options...
just one thing though...how do i recognise the existing wire that supplies the aerial.
Hope the answer to that question isn't " its the one marked aerial power you div"....I only picked the car up on Friday and haven't had chance to look behind any panels yet.
Cheers again

Chiark.....
I'm confused...probably lost the plot here...
The blue wire on the iso adapter connects to a wire on the scoob loom ( i think it's purple ) do I have to feed power to this cable on the scoob loom ?
All i've done up to now is connect the iso adapter and the radio works....reception seems OK.
Cheers....

right i've followed all the threads, on an 06 scoob the iso connects to the scoob loom, all the pins are matched ie. every wire on the iso meets another wire on the scoob loom except one on the ISo which is blanked off and meets with a black wire on the scoob loom, so the blue wire on the scoob loom that everyone talks about must already be meeting a wire on the iso so do i still need to add power to it? reception is shocking
