Question

Ive just put in some infinity 605cs into
the front doors of MY99.

They sound superb, the only problem is because they are that good and produce a decent amount of bass, the plastic door housing vibrates when I pump up the volume.

Do I need some sound deadning material, and if so, what kind, and where do I need to put it.

Would strongly advise sound deadening - go to your local stereo place and get them to fit - if their anygood they'll know where to fit it

I'm not sure sound deadening will solve the problem as I suspect that it's the plastic waterproofing resonating.

One inch foam applied to the inside of the door can fix this, though I've not yet tried myself. Have a quick search and you should find the full instructions.

Nick.

Question

JoeRazz,

Did you by chance note which colour wire on the loom went to the pos and negative terminals on the infinity's. I have a MY 99
and from memory Blue with a brown tracer went to the larger terminal and grey to the smaller terminal on the original speakers..

Many thanks,

Nick.

Your quite right m8, the blue cable went to the larger terminal on the factory fit speakers which is the negative and the grey is positve.
This is opposite on the infinitys, the blue went to the smaller terminal which is the negative on the infinity speakers.
