DAB Head Unit
#2
Dan, most manufacturers have an add-on DAB unit box, for example I know that Kenwood and Pioneer do this. I seem to recall that there may be a dab receiver from blaupunkt in a single box
A place on the tottenham court road was flogging off cheap-ish in-car DAB gear. May be worth a browse if you're in the area?

Pioneer do one Head unit that has an integral DAB receiver, but I think the rest of there range, and other manufacturers need add-on boxes.
I've had DAB in my car for almost 4 months, and wouldn't be without it now. I have got used to the sound of someone walking on bubble-wrap as I lose coverage of local stations, but rarely have problems with national ones.
The biggest concern I had was over the aerial, as you'll need an additional short bee-sting one, but it doesn't look out of place.
Martin.

I had a Pioner KEH9700 with the DAB unit. The DAB unit broke and is beyond economical repair (needs a new main board which Pioneer don't have in stock and would cost £200 anyway ) but despite this I will be buying another one. The quality of reception is fantastic
