Question Door speakers

Does anyone out there know how to remove the door cards (03 sti) with out snapping anything, having trouble removing the surround from the exit handle.

Have you had a look in the FAQ sticky thread?

The surround from the handle does need to come off, and the first time you do it you do think you'll snap it, but it does come.

Just be gentle, and see if you can see where the clips are around the surround.

I seem to remember someone saying they were pretty cheap.

Part number apparently 61052FE010ML for the left hand one (thanks Wiblet), but that may be for an 05 WRX.

I've not replaced mine, so I don't know first-hand.

I'll give the dealer a bell later today, make sure I'm sitting down first though, just in case

If you get the info, please add it to the FAQ - for all of us who've come clean about snapping ours, there must be many lurkers remaining silent.

Having said that, no-one sees the FAQ anyway...

lol, oh dear...

if anyone has a camera and could take a picture, it might help: there's a few clips around this, and if people know where the clips are it might help to know where to concentrate their efforts

I'll add it to the FAQ as well, but replacements door handle surrounds are £6.07 + VAT, I assume the drivers and passenger side are the same. I only asked for the driver's side coz that was the one I broke

Yeah, maybe if they put some white arrows on the photo and post it in the FAQ, maybe call it 'door card removal' or something (maybe with an '05 wrx' thrown in for good measure)...
