Trying to load up pictures as the background theme, but am having a bit of trouble. Got a USB Memory stick to load my music on, thats all fine, also stuck some pictures on there but it dont load them.

Manual says you cant use the USB stick to load pics, they are in JPEG format, and even tried putting them on a disc, but still no joy.

Who has this headunit and have you sorted out how you get pictures up?.

Is it right that these units only need the optional iPod cable to play videos through the head unit? The webiste seems to suggest it has 'direct play' so you can play audio from your iPod using the usb connector and the standard cable that comes with the iPod?

 

You need to buy the KCA-ip300V ipod connector for full ipod compatibility.

 

I have been looking at these units (just ordered one) if you go to the Kenwood website there is a firmware update available (v1.4.0) It fixes a lot of bugs and I think improves the options for setting the backgrounds, I think it also allows you to install them from USB. You need to burn it to a CD-R, put it in and it will auto install, they recommend to have the engine running incase your battery dies and kills your unit!!!
