I have asked the question on how to get pictures of your choice up on the screen, but no replies as yet.
These are the screens that you may have already seen, just showing the dc playing, other than stick a film-DVD in thats about it.

Just just a USB memory stick to load me music on, 4gb holds about x25 albums, keeps the slot free for the DVD disc's.

The usual way is to route the USB cable from the back of the unit, through the glove box for it to sit in there. Then is a simple case of connecting your USB device to the cable, close the glove box and there you have it.

Control wise, the unit reads any music data from the memory stick and brings all the controls up on screen, dead easy and fast, from there you can select and album, and single song you have on that memory stick with ease.

Default iPod

Is it right that these units only need the optional iPod cable to play videos through the head unit? The webiste seems to suggest it has 'direct play' so you can play audio from your iPod using the usb connector and the standard cable that comes with the iPod?

I had to buy the additional lead KCA-iP300V which gives you all the onscreen controls.

I still haven't got the iPOD video to play though

Default ?

So it will play audio from an ipod without the cable, but you don't get all the controls? does it look the same on screen? i,e. does it display album art? Also, does it it show album art for mp3 files you play from a USB stick/drive?

I e-mailed the guys at 'JustKenwood.co.uk' and they confirmed what I said earlier, that it will play audio only with the standard lead, but with the Kenwood KCA-iP300v cable, it will play video to.

I've ordered the cable anyway now so when I when I fit the unit I'll do a quick test with the iPod, with and without the iP300v cable. Might even post some pics too
