Front passenger speaker cuts in and out
Hi all, my front passenger speaker has started cutting in and out recently and I'm thinking it is just a dodgy connection etc, I had it on an earlier car where the loom between the door and main chassis needed cleaning.
having never done any ice work on a scoob, can someone tell me the best place to start please? BTW I have an aftermarket JVC headunit installed
thanks muchly

If you remove the passenger door card (which is a 3 minute job) you will then gain access to the speaker to have a look at the connections. It's possible one of the connectors has come off. When I installed new speakers the connectors came off constantly because they were catching when the electric window comes down.

Hi, the following instructions are for a late model classic but they might be more or less the same for a blobeye as well:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Prize off the two rectangular screw covers, and undo the screws behind them.
Gently prize up the door handle surround and remove it. DO NOT undo the large screw in the centre of the door handle release.
Gently prize up the window switch, release it from it's wiring and remove it.
Remove the screw behind the window switch too.
Now, working slowly and by feel, insert a flattish blade, (I used a table fork handle), under the front/lower edge of the panel, moving it along until it meets resistance. Pull the panel outwards at this point, repeat until all catches are undone.
Now lift the door card slightly, swing it out at the bottom and remove it.
