Would like some info on front door speakers for my 03 Blobeye Wagon. I had Infinity Reference in my classic and the were brill for the money (were a pain though, 18mm mdf spacers and home-made rain jackets on backs!!). Want to upgrade to Infinity Kappa or even Infinity Perfect components for front doors. Has anyone done these? Is there much difference between Kappa and Perfect range as Perfects are nearly double the money. Does anyone know max depth of speakers to fit front doors without fouling windows!! Lots of Qs, I know but CHEERS in advance for advice - Darren

 

Unless you are looking to run the speakers off an amp I would stick with Reference, I had some Kappa components and I think they were 90w RMS so you won't get the best out of them running off your head unit.

Saying that though they did sound pretty awesome running off a 60w Alpine Head Unit. But the only reason I did that was that the speakers were already in the car when I got it.

 

CHEERS.....Amp is on my list of things to do. Will be from a PIONEER 4x50W head unit first then amped later.....Will ask Qs about recommended amps once these are sorted. Done all boot floor in Dynamat Xtreme and have 2 sheets left for front doors. I've also Got a 1000W JBL Sub in Autoaccoustics box to put in (this is out of my classic, so although its not a perfect fit it still gives me some pram space!!) ATB - Darren
