Default Which double din for my ipod vid?? help please

I'm looking to upgrade my standard headunit to a double din that is ipod ready and can also play the videos that I have on my ipod.

Can anyone recommend a good one? Don't really want to spend more than £600 tbh though.

A few that have caught my eye:

For sound quality I'd go with Alpine everytime. Far superior to Pioneer.

I agree - and I would go for this:

Alpine IVA-W505 Only £619.90 Double DIN Car Stereo - Sextons Direct

Then it's amp, speakers, subwoofer etc. etc. etc.

^^^ that is a VERY nice looking headunit... and reasonable price too.

My main concern for getting a double-din as opposed to single is security as you cannot remove the fascia.

Are there any security measures to prevent would-be thieves?

Only get the IVA-W505R if you intend on getting the Blackbird portable navi which docks into the unit, Otherwise the IVA-W502R is just the same at around £90 cheaper.

Have you thought about a CarPC? For £600 you could get a fantastic setup and a decent size touchscreen built into the dash for perfect security.

Just a thought.
