Classic rear shelf speaker upgrade

Can anyone tell me how they have upgraded the speakers on the rear shelf of a my99 classic, The previous owner scewed speakers down throught the grills so needs tidying up

I fitted some 6x9's to mine. Took some cutting and chopping but they fit.
For ease of fit go for 6 inch ones. They are difficult to find but will drop straight in.

6x9's fitted using home made mdf spacers, covered in proper carpet from an ICE dealer. No cutting of parcel shelf, but some small drilling needed.

VAST improvement.
