Default buying another car, before you've sold your other?

Hi,
I'm looking to pick up another 2nd hand car (Forester) next week.. all subject to the car being ok.

Now, I've not yet sold my 'old' car just yet, but would want to take the No Claims Discount that car has over to the new one.

But until it's sold it's not possible to transfer the policy to a new car?

How do you do it?

have to start all over again, even though the old car will be sold?

advice please
tnx

Most insurers will mirror your NCB from your current car to a new policy now. I now have 3 cars taxed, motd and insured all using the ncb from my original Impreza. At the end of each policy I will have 3x ncb's to use on cars!!*

don't get too excited, it's only a 02plate Forester Sport (non Turbo) but I'm excited, as the car is mint.. like new.

low mileage a load of service history, but trying astatine if the cam belt has been done and when.

Am I best ringing the insurance company of the car I have now (which I'll be selling)?

Hi,

Most of our insurance scheme would generally mirror your no claims bonus on your first vehicle. If you do need any help with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards
Dan
