It's renewal time soon so I've been hunting around on the online quote generators for the usual Privilege/Direct Line/Tesco etc for premium comparisons.
Currently drive a Golf 4Motion (dull, boring etc.) but hope to change to new WRX in the very near future.
I see Liverpool Victoria always seem to get good reviews here so thought I'f try them for the Golf. They have a quick calculator to give you and idea and the price ranged from £780-£960 (about the same as my current Elephant premium) but not as cheap as I had hoped.
Tapped in my same details but for a Scooby WRX (standard, new) and that ranged from £606-£730!
How can a Group 17 car (Golf) be dearer to insure than a Group 20 car (Impreza)?????
Ideas/comments please!

DONT BELIEVE THE QUICK QUOTE !!!!!!!!!
Their rates are pretty bloody good, but when you go throught the normal quote process I kept getting quotes outside of their quick quote "range"
