I need help with this to. I was just about to post something exactly the same.
I am 20 and I have the money for one except I don't know where to go for insurance.
As much help as possible is needed.

Also try Direct line. I have rang all insurances and gone on their website and these 2 were the best. need a tracker but its the price you have to pay if you want one. Im 21, 3 years NCB, no points and no claims

Alot of insurance companies wont touch drivers under 25 in these types of car (i was 31 when i got my scoob and even i had problems getting insurance and i have a clean licence
)
Anyway its nice to see that people are now checking out insurance before buying the car and getting lumbered with huge premiums but you also want to check out running costs etc as these can add up too and cost you lots especially if your insurance bill is very high![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Yeah very true TonyBurns. Maintenance for these scoobs are very high! Change a clutch and you can say buy to quite a bit of money. i only decided to go for it as dad is in the trade so can get alot of prices cheap. Otherwise i would have waited atleast another couple of years!

I got insured on my gold with Adrian Flux. They were really good for me at the time. No good for the scooby though!
Try adrian flux and look into the modified section. They give you a discount if your car is modified cause they reckon you are not going to smash your bride and joy into a lamp post and you will be driving extra careful!
Failing that budget wasnt to bad either for my old golf
