Had a letter last week from 'the' insurance company.
(bear in mind the car has been insured with them for three months already).

"a matter has arisen regarding your insurance, please contact us at your earliest convenience to discuss this further"

1st ring.
could i speak to ********
she sent me a letter to ring her ?

them: sorry she doesnt take direct calls, can I get her to call you back in 5 mins.

no problem, dum de dum clock watching,
2hrs later I give up and ring back.
same spiel as above from me.

them: Can I help sir as she doesn't take direct calls.

I spiel off me details.

them: it seems we were waiting for your documents, letter must have crossed in the post

( I know the postal service is crap but three months to deliver my docs ???)

them: all seems in order sir don't worry.

OK.....

This week same standard letter drops through door.
now do I phone em again....
suppose i'd better.

this time they have their act together and tell me the underwriters have written to them wanting another 77 squid because it has a PPP ?????????????????????

well I told you that at the time and it's on the proposal form and in the letter I wrote you IN DETAIL about the mods.

them: we have the details listed as separate items
exhaust
Chipped management
intercooler pipe work
etc...(you know the rest)

"and" I say, so you have it listed then ?

Them: yes but separately................

<shakes head> anyway I convinced them in the end that it was one and the same thing and they're not getting another penny til next year

they really will try and take the pish.
