Last year I rang for a quote from direct line and it was 10 minutes for all the personal details and then came the big question :

DL> "What car is it sir"

ME>"Imported Impreza WRX Type RA"

DL>"That model is not on the computer Sir are you sure its not a terzo or an STI "

ME>"Nope positive its outside and thats what the badges say"

DL>"I will speak to an underwriter ..............
..............................
.....................Sorry Sir we cant quote"

ME>"LOL"

DL>"I would try again next year"

ME>"Okay"

Anyway guess what, they must have may a note as the car is on the DL website, just surprised as there must be only a few WRX Type RAs imported I wouldnt have thought they were bothered. Funniest is that I had exactly the same quote for the following cars :

MY00 WRX (import)
MY00 WRX Type RA (import)
MY02 WRX (UK version)

All needed a tracker and just seem strange a 276bhp RA has the same quote as 215bhp MY02 WRX.
