Thumbs up

Not only did they do me a great quote early this year.... But they know a fair bit about mods too! Not only do they know what a Dawes Device is, they didn't charge me for it!

Dont think they added anything for the Prodrive wing either!

Legends

The guy I normally speak to sounds like an enthusiast, and they have a refreshing view on mods. They like to think that most of us are enthusiasts and don't drive like *****, so less likely to do something stupid.

Fair play.

BUT: if you fit mods yourself, they assume you are an enthusiast and thats good for them and your risk rating..=cheaper quote than if:
you buy a car with *existing* mods you are considered a *hooligan*! (jk!)

LOL .. well actually ... "not an enthusiast" apparently.
This will affect the risk so I was told. = much higher quote.

And also they take exerience of fast cars into account... onwership only though, driving days dont count for squat.
They reckoned if I had owned a scoob for a year they could knock £500 of my quote no worries.. but as it was it was quite high..

Does that mean its cheaper get a quote for a standard car, and then declare the mods a week later or something and get change of policy details??

DBM: they quoted me £1480 on a MY00 dutch import with a shed load of tasty mods... if I have scoob ownership over a year, they said sub £900.
will go back to them next year

LV was £1061. Even though the girl quoting didnt have a clue what I was talking about.. scoob or mods.. LOL

go figure..
