Question

Insurance nearly due on my MY00 Wagon Turbo - last year it was £400

Looking to get a better deal this year - Mature driver - clean licence, no claims, no mods., 10000miles a year.

Dont want to be stitched up again like that £400!!! oh, yes, its an XS of £100 - dont want more than that if I can help it

Any ideas??

Thanks in anticipation

Pete

Try subaru-insured.co.uk. As you're such a stunningly low risk, you should be good with them. Not sure if they also do caravan cover

I have still to get my Renewal from Norwich Union Direct, TESCO have tried to scare me by saying that NU have hiked the premiums HUGELY - is that true?????? HELP!!

£359 seems good - is that Fully Comp? What XS? Courtesy Car? Legal cover?

Comp, £100 voluntary XS + £200 damage XS = (I think) £300. Glass XS = £50, F&T XS = £100. Courtesy car - yes. After two prangs last year (deer + stupid one in wife's car = reversed into the neighbour's parked car!!Doh) Hastings almost doubled my premium...No thanks.
Churchill quoted less than the previous year's, even with the accidents (and I had done LOTS of shopping around the previous year..).
Just received their renewal at £443 (less than last year). Got a quote from their internet site with all the same details at £359. Phoned them up to check - they honour the £359. OK I said...
The internet quote is meant to be 5% less than if you phone them.
I think my insurance has gotten cheaper every year since I got the car...accidents included....just my hair's getting greyer..know the feeling??!!

Cool

Guess what?? Norwich Union are doing a 'Special' deal at the moment - for an extra £15 I can have a full blown RAC breakdown cover package!! As my warranty with Subaru runs out in May 2003 - it could be a bargain???

So, looks like £385 all in ......... unless anyone knows better??

Pete
