Euro Import Insurance

That's a BIG YES.
Have had one for almost 3 years and found this out when getting
quotes from different companies . For some reason they sometimes
add a premium even though it is a full UK spec car.ELEPHANT.CO.UK
for example.

Most but not all companies have never reacted if you say it's a parallel EU import and full UK spec. Might even be on dodgy legal ground with free trade, EU market etc? My reg. doc. doesn't say euro import on it anywhere, either.
I'm with greenlight, they didn't care as long as I sent them a copy of the EC certificate of conformity - i.e. proof that it is UK spec (at least it was before I modded it!). IIRC some of the on-line systems only ask is it UK model or full UK spec, rather than is it an import - in which case they obviously don't care either.
