Track day insurance, tesco covers this??
#1
Phoned tesco ins to see if my policy covered track days. Initially the girl at the other end of the line didn't know what a track day was! but said I was covered but I'm not convinced given that she sounded confused. She said I was OK if it wasn't racing.
Anyway the certificate says racing, competitions, rallies and trials are not covered. Does this mean track days too?
Anyway, assuming it doesn't, how much extra can I expect an insurer to charge me? Seen a track day insurance specialist at £150! for a car of my value (s2000, £19k) which means I'll not do the track day if this is the cheapest.

Dracoro,
You will find it very difficult to find any insurance companies that will also cover Trackdays. I have recently changed to LV and I have been told that they do but I have not checked this myself. I use Competition Car Insurance and usually pay £250 for £16,000 worth of cover. with a £2,000 excess.
Si.
