Insurance Phone Numbers
#1
Mods it might be useful to leave this one in general for a while till its got lots of numbers. Might also be an idea to add to favourites peeps to save hassle when its time for you to go phoning around
Simply, all that I want is you to recommend an insurance company and put down their quotation phone number. Yes, its that time of year
Example:
I recommend 'Saxoboy Insurances'
Tel: 0800 3835 78743
* Game: there is a joke in that number - who can spot it
P.S. I'm bored today, can you guess!!

Well this is amusing Because of the 6 year no claims bonus with CI no other company can get close!!! I've had quotes of £1700, £2400 and some who had the good sense not to insult me at all Looking like I can't beat my current insurer.
L Vic anyone?

Can't believe you didn't do a search for Liverpool Victoria mate .... 08706068683
PS I spoke to them when I transferred my insurance and told them 'on no accounts are you ever to insure a guy called Kenny who goes by the name Saxo Boy' as he's a nutter
So you might struggle there

Phil,
Not the old insurance quote stuff again.
Its not just a case of cheap cheap cheap
The first question you should ask is what cover do I really want ?
write a list(You could probably use your current policy) of the items you feel the policy should cover, then update as you speak to different companies, then finalise the cover you want.
When you do this exercise (And I have within the last month) you will soon realise that Job Bloggs insurance may be or may not be for you
I did the ring round and got cheaper quotes for insurance easily, but ended up staying where I was down to what I was actually getting from CIS. When I went back to companies and listed the cover I wanted then some companies loaded the 'cheap' policy above CIS and others just would not quote.
I for one need quality insurance as I am/will be running a new car
The bottom line is you could be upset in the unlucky event you have to claim.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

cheers steve. My current level of cover is superb and I've been making sure that my quotes match it for cover quality. Problem is that has put the price up so it looks like CI are the best.
I spoke to a guy from CI and asked how many years NCD I have. He said, '2 years but I see your on our discout scheme which gives you a 6 year bonus with us' - On this basis I'd feel a little uneasy saying I've got 6 years to any other company so I've been saying 2 years...this is why they aren't competative
Insurance sucks

Thats good then saxo Boy
One other point that people don't understand is if your company says you have full NCB after 4 years then this is better than when
a compnay says they give you NCB after 6
The confusion arises (and I haven't had a claim for 10 years and then only minor, stereo, window etc) when you change companies and they ask how much NCB you have
You say "Full"
They say " How many years does your company base this on"
You say "4 years (for eg) but I haven't had a claim for 10 years"
They say "Well ours is 6 or 9 years so we can only give you 4"
Which means that your claims record counts for nothing and basically they are screwing you for money so that they can charge you more and thats when the reducerd cover starts coming into play
What I say is that if you have full NCB (4 years for me with no claims for 10) then your current company can verify this so the new company should give you there terms.
If they won't, then simple don't go with them. Its all a matter of negotiation and most insurance companies use the same underwritters, so it is down to the insurance company to give you full NCB not the underwriter
Hope this makes some sense, it took me a while to catch onto this one, but iot is a scam !
