ARM-Scooby - You're not with AXA are you?

The GX definition is incorrect. The MY01 GX is a normally aspirated 2.0. I think its a grp 14 car. If you are insures as driving a GX I would get that sorted straight away. In the event of a claim I suspect they would reject it. Ignorance is unfortunately no excuse.

PS - Bell direct for me.

Sorry to say but none of the answers have helped you at all have they ? I have been down this road again and again and again and you have to define what is 'Best' None of these answers do and to my opinion they are based purely on cost and not cover, which is what you are talking about.

What cover do you require as all of the formentioned companies vary dramatically.

Having said that the companies mentioned are all pretty good but not necessarily the best

I insure with CIS, but again it is a matter of desired cover ?

Basically i have been trying with Tesco, sainsburys and Elephant. I am looking for a good quote basically and was wondering what was the correct id, for my car, what should i be telling insurance companies my car is?

Its a 2001 (Bug-eye) wrx. On ttesco i think that it offers a 2.0i AWD, is that the correct one, i dont like has been mentioned, want to find out that i am not covered.

Cheers,
Andy..

Andy, you must know what car you own?

If it’s a 01 WRX bugeye, then insure it as a 01 WRX bugeye. Do not insure it as something else. Insuring it as a GX will make it cheaper but it will invalidate your insurance in the event of a claim.

I found that tesco's gave me the best quote last year when i 1st
bought my scooby and also reasonable on mods, since signing on here their are a few more i can try.

Regards your model i know tesco's are linked to the dvla and all you have to do is give them your reg and their computer will tell them what model dvla has it down as.

Question

Andy,
alot of insurance for scoobs depends on age, Liverpool victoria seem very stringent on over 30's for instance and Tom (Rum) only do insurance on over 25's....
Just letting you know how the scoob insurance scene stands.

And still nobody has defined 'best'. Are you lot sure you don't mean cheapest ? Still no mention of cover type here
