There are a couple of threads flying around about younger drivers at the moment so have a little look adown the rest of the page.

I'm pretty sure your low NCB isnt gonna help

I would persevere though, there seem to be quite a few of us younger peeps looking to get, or already driving scoobies....

Simple,

Buy a car you can afford to insure

Its no use buying a new car and skimping on insurance as it will only bite if you need to claim

There seem to be a lot of people around with more money than sense.

Why do people want to go from passing their test to jumping into a high risk car. Not only is it costly but dangerous as there is a huge difference between driving a Fiesta 1.1 and a 215bhp+ Scooby.

Build up your driving experience slowly and your NCB. Save the money for a decent car in 5 years time.

Rant over.

If any insurance company contacts you with an insurance quote, ignore it. I keep getting quotes from quoteline direct for about £1200. That's nearly 3 times what I pay.

Shop around, you should get nearer a grand.
