I have just had the misfortune to total my MY98 wagon. I would rate the condition as only 'fair' and it had 115000 miles on the clock. My insurer has offered £7000. Any opinions on whether this is reasonable?

If it's a UK car check parkers guide for the market value, or
check autotrader, exchange & mart etc for similar vehicles. If there worth more ring your insurance company and haggle, you made need to send proof of these values in so don't go making up any cars.

p.s the 1st offer from ins co's on total losses are 'usually' low, so ring and have a moan, anything more is better than nothing.
