Will This Invalidate My Policy?
#1
Earlier on I noticed on the Axa Direct website that you can tailor excesses to reduce the cost of insurance. I also tried changing my postcode to that of my girlfriends to see what the difference was.
I knew it would be slightly cheaper given the area, but a saving of nearly £200 for the year came as a bit of a shock.
Now then, since I spend most of the time at her place it would make sense to tell the insurance company I live with her!
The car is registered at my address on the Log Book and so is my driving licence.
My question is would it matter if I was to ever make a claim with there being different addresses on each of the documents, or should I just pay the extra £200 and not chance it?
What do you think?

If your car is stolen or involved in an incident the insurance
co may start investigating, if this comes to light they may void your claim or policy. If you tell them you spend most of the time
at your partners place, but your postal address is the other they
will still want to rate on the highest risk.
Its not worth the risk. Nows the time to make a commitment, move in
with the missus!

Thanks for the advice mate.
Only problem is if I move in with the missus, then I'd have no money at all, so it looks like I'll declare my home address to them to be on the safe side.

Good point simb 2,i'm in the same boat, but when she goes shopping to cardiff and spends 100 squid on make-up,and 40 squid on hair products, when i do mention to her about spoiler, wheels, etc,i just mention the shopping trips to cardiff, and things ain't so bad then.

Will use that point when my current one runs thin, she has just put a big gash now the side of her corsa after a disagreement with a wall. As her excess is to high we will have to foot the bill.(what is it with women and stationery objects)
