Hi P1555ED

I've found Greenlight and Liverpool/Victoria very good.

Here's the numbers

Greenlight 01277 263030
Liverpool / Victoria 0800 514514

Liverpool / Victoria won't insure group 20 cars unless your over 30 ;-(

Fluff

Hi Chris

Thanks, I rang Greenlight who said £1100, then I rang Liverpool/Victoria who said £752!! After ringing several companies this is by far the cheapest.(As you must have guessed we are both over 30!)

Cheers

Thumbs up

Hi P1555ED,

That's interesting. I'm only a month and half away from being 30 with 2yrs NCD and have 1 accident three and half yrs ago, plus adding my my wife on who's 31 and Liverpool Victoria wouldn't give me a quoto on an STI8, but Greenlight did £1079 + £80 for PPP.

Would be interested to know your details etc. because your both over 30.

Chris

Hi

I'm 30, the wife is 38, she has full ncb so the car is registered in her name. Can't understand why they wouldn't quote you. The car is garaged, no mods (yet). They asked mileage per year I said about 8,000, do you think that makes a difference? Who checks that anyway?

Hi P1555ED,

Yes, your millage a year does a difference. The more miles you do, the more chance you have of having an accident (apparently).

Not sure why they wouldn't give me a quote, they must be very fussy about the age limit. But I'll try again in a couple of months time.

I can't make my mind up weather to go for an STI8 or EVO 8. I'm favouring the STI8 at the mo.

Hi Chris

Did you make your mind up on the STI8 or EVO? (Or have you already got it?). I would have probably gone for the STI8. Although I've never driven either!

Tried Norwich Union as others said it was good, surprisingly they would not cover a P1!!

Only 3 days left on insurance, definitely going for Liverpool/Victoria.

Hi Chaps

I had my P1 (just sold it) with LV, business insurance, mods (18's, s/sport full system, 6 pot ap's, tints etc) and track day insurance (if I wanted) all for no extra cost (think I paid around £820. (me only @ 34yrs)

STI8 PPP on the way, £8 extra till end sept

They get my vote
cheers simon
