Had my insurance with Chriss Knott for my first year of ownership. Very impressed they covered the scoobysport full decat at no extra cost etc and sent me a note on my request to confirm it was covered.
However renewal is due this Sunday and the policy has gone up from £900 to £955 over 12 months even though I have another years ncd and I am bordering on the magic age of 30. Phoned them up to see if they could do something about it and they said nope thats the best they can do. Did notice they have automated phone systems/new technology they didn't have when I phoned last year. Be damned if my policy is going up to pay for their new systems.
Greenlight however were £100 cheaper when I phoned them and still covered the full decat and protected no claims bonus etc so no surprises who I went with!

MY98 with full decat scoobysport exhaust
Fully comp with protected no claims bonus
Parked on driveway
Cat1 alarm and immobilser
Paid over 12 months = £862
I still think this is way too much but its still miles cheaper than anywhere else.
Give Greenlight a call on 01277 263030 and speak to Neil.

Greenlight are probably getting my business too ![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Adrian Flux want 605 quid extra to go from a modified (all mods declared) MY00 to a standard 03 WRX. I actually laughed and told them they must have got the wrong car... They assured me that they hadn't and also asked me when my house insurance was due so that they could also quote me for that. I had to very politely decline through gritted teeth to stop myself losing the plot big style.

Bravo,
I did mine with them last week, be aware that when all the paperwork arrives you'll be asked for a copy of your driving license, the certificate of alarm installation!!, an engineers report about the mods, all the forms filled in, including a comprehensive list of all the mods, and a couple other things I can't remember.
A right pain in the **** to do, and they wouldn't accept that my car, my00 came with the alarm as standard, apparently, IM told them that they cat1 was only fitted from 01 onwards, how helpfull is that!!!
Ron.

Cheers Ron, I had to get the certificate for the alarm sorted out last year when I insured the car so hopefully shouldn't be an issue this year. The decat, well I don't know what they want on that, I have the scoobysport receipt and thats it.
Will wait and see what turns up in the post. Any major hassles they can stick it and I will go back to my original insurers for the extra £100.

I thought the biggest pain was gonna be the engineers report, but my car was mot'd the day b4, so I copied that for them, he seemed happ that the car wouldn't have passed if it was not bolted together right, got a decat though,,,,,,, work that one out!
