I got a reasonable quote from Tescos for a new MY03 WRX, and to be honest they werent even too bad on a new STi - but given the extra purchase cos I thought I would be a bit more sensible (STi 9, 10? ).
I'm 24, not great london postcode, 3yrs NCB, parked on drive, cat 1 + tracker.

I don't mind about the paperwork - I take it it will be things like alarm certificate, driving licence etc..?
As long as I can keep the bill below the £1000 mark. (I just missed this last year)

Tesco quoted me £769 for insurance with a tracker.
(For the details given above)
However, if you put the cost of the tracker into this it's a bit pricey - where I live, I don't think having a tracker is as useful as a decent alarm/immobiliser...
The tracker list seems to have loads of different trackers on that I've never heard of. Are these available in the UK / any cheaper than the usual suspects?

I haven't got my renewal yet, but I expect it to be quite large.
Before I start searching and phoning I thought I'd see if there were any suggestions here.
A few details: I'm 24 & my partner is 25. I should have passed my IAM test before renewal. (Obviously because I'm male, I am the larger risk) The car is a UK turbo and is unmodified (as yet - so a mod friendly company would help) apart from a cat 1 alarm/immobiliser. I have 4 yrs NCB. We live in a good postcode & the car is parked on the driveway. I'd prefer to get away without a tracker if possible.
My age puts a fair few companies off - at least it did last year, so reasonably up to date info from younger drivers would help.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
