PPP and insurance...

Hi all,
Thinking of buying a MY03 WRX.
Have a friend with a UK300 and PPP - he apparetly pays no more in his insurance for the PPP as it is a Dealer option.
However, I have heard other people where it is insured no different than an aftermarket mod (ie much more).
So - is the PPP an insurance classed mod or is it simply a dealer option and therefore makes no difference.
Cannot seem to get a straight answer!
Cheers - Rich

Dont tell the insurance company they will never know!!!
Folks, don't do it. You must declare all modifications for your own good. If you don't, you might as well not bother with insurance because insurers can, will and sometimes do cancel insurance for undeclared modifications. Of course, you find this out when you come to make a claim, and they discover that your car isn't what you said it was...
Keep the advice sensible please
