They're unbelievable.

Until recently I was insured with Churchill - then I made a few mods to my car (just wheels, suspension and brakes, nothing fancy) and when it was time to renew was told that they were no longer going to cover me.

I was expecting to have to pay a lot more, especially as I had protected no claims with Churchill and the car had been stolen/recovered in 2001.

I called Liverpool Victoria and after giving them all the details they came up with a quote that was £7 cheaper than the renewal from Churchill!

Have to say I browse Scoobynet and the Peugeot GTi Autosport Club, and both have recommended L&V before. I tried them out and they were cheaper by about 100 to 120 quid...

Mine was 480quid for a Peugeot 106Xsi 1.6, M Plate, with 9 years NCB and no points...

They do have a website but no online quote system.

Its not to late, they should still be able to stop the policy.

tesco wanted £2200 for me, only difference was that lv wouldnt put my wife on as shes under 30, no big deal as shes only driven the sti 3 times, the p1 b4 that twice, and the my97 b4 that once
not worth the extra grand

You are within your rights to cancel within 14 days of taking out cover for whatever reason you like, with no financial penalty, if you decide you have changed your mind on any financial product purchased "remotely" (ie not face to face).

Insurance is a financial product.
