Following on from this thread http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=185216 I decided to insure my Z for 3 months as it was the shortest policy I could get. Went to drive the car home & relised there was no brake fluid left in the master cylinder resevoir. Bled brakes & seems the master cylinder has gone, so in the end I had to get a flatbed home anyway FFS.
Can I cancel my insurance policy within a certain period for a refund? I have been told that I can withing 7 days, because I have no need for the insurance now.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jay

If you bought insurance remotely (ie not face to face) you have a 14 day cooling off period under law. You can cancel the policy without penalty any time within those 14 days.
AFter that, you are likely to be charged an administration fee.

As far as I know there are no refunds on short term policies, hopefully i'm wrong. Ring the insurance co they may show some sympathy towards your situation.
