I have just renewed my insurance for MY02. I am 27 years old. Most insurers wouldn't insure me bacause I am under 30 and the car is less than 3 years old!
Eventually went through Greenlight who are very good.
Got a quote for £1150.
Bargain.

Out of them all, Tesco have been the best for me.

Although i've got a UK car, my98, i'm 26 and paying £643 fully comp.

Got a few quotes for imports, and they were double that !

Red face

Liverpool victoria wont touch you unless your over 30 on a JDM car, direct line may be able to help you but your looking at a good 2k per annum me thinks on a JDM car.
Personally id go for a UK car with modifications, probably cheaper for you to insure and still pretty quick.

How the hell did you get Esure to quote you? I tried them using my DAD as the policyholder (no named drivers) for a laugh to see how cheap they were - i.e. over 50 years old with full NCB no claims no points etc and they still point blank refused to quote as soon as the car model was entered! "Sorry we can't quote for that type of car blah blah, try these insurers instead". UK car as well...
