Has anyone made a claim on there insurance, then the other person denied it and the insurance settle with a percentage of liability for each party??? And if so, if it is a 70% not your fault, and 30% your fault does the insurance go up the following year? And do you lose your excess??? Any help would be great.

Its called 50/50, where as both parties are hammered the next year as it works as if you have lost your ncb (if not protected).
Its the insurance co's way of splitting the blame if no-one owns up basically, that way, the guilty party still cops it.

You can however pay that 30% back to your insurance comapny to retain your NCD, you must of course weigh this up with what the premium increase would be, if your NCD was affected. Ring your comapny they will be able to work this out for you.
