Question

I've had a look in the Insurance forum but all the sites I've tried say they don't insure imports.

Can anyone give me the names/numbers or web addresses for insurance companies that deal with imports please?

Question

Age is the biggest factor when it comes to Grey imports, most insurance co's dont like young drivers in these so wont insure them, the likes of liverpool victoria will normally only do over 30 drivers in this sort of car, but the likes of tesco are probably one of your best bets.

Tesco were £1150, I put in an example of a 1998 WRX STi Type R

I'm 29 with 6 years NCB does this sound right to people?

Tesco require an authorised tracking system and cat 1 alarm system bur sounds about right. I pay 1100 for an RA, over 30 , with mods, 10+ years NCB protected.

I'm with Tesco at the moment on my Integra Type R, I'm 33 and have 2yrs NCB. I'm paying £1075.

Just got them to quote me for my 1999 Sti Type RA V-Limited and they want a whopping £2222.17 a year. it would have been £640.50 less if I didn't have the performance exhaust and wheels.

any suggestions of alternatives
