Insurance Subaru Impreza insurance can be expensive, as with any performance car insurance. But the cheapest car insurance isn't always the best. Share your quotes, and experiences.

My Sti8 is insured with Elephant, which at the time was by far the cheapest quote around.

A couple of months ago I enquired as to whether a strut brace would affect my premium - their response was that a strut brace was an unacceptable modification to them. Wasn't too bothered in the end.

Am now considering going for PPP, or at least an uprated back box, and am not sure how they are going to react!

Has anyone had experience of insuring a PPP'd car with Elephant or any other performance mod so I can get feel for what to expect from them?

Cheers
Peter

I am covered with Elephant.

My STi 7 is PPP'd.

At first they didn't want to cover me, but I kept on at them and in the end they did it.

Mark

Did you upgrade during the policy or was it at the beginning of a policy?

Cheers

I rang Elephant for a quote for my sti7 they were the cheapest at £847.00 but would not insure me if i ppp the car, so i am going to renew with Greenlight £900 and when i fit ppp about an extra £80-£120
