Got a quote from Privilege for my STI7 UK for £777

Decide to try L&V because of recommendations on this site. I tried their Quick quote and it suggested a range between £670 and £730. This got me interested so I phoned them to confirm....

The real quote ended up as £850. Now I'm Sorry, but there is a big difference between the quick quote and the real quote.

Needless to say they won't be getting my business.

Didn't get mine either..........Churchill were the cheapest. I noticed the L&V had big quote differences depending on your postcode either if it wasn't that much further away.

Andy.

The quick quote is for average everything (postcode,accidents,convictions,...). My quick quote was different too but on the positive side for me. £530-620 on quick quote. Real quote was £595 with £250 excess. I got them to up the excess to £400, and ended up paying £497 with the mods.

Did you ask for the excess to be raised? It was worth the gamble for me. £150 extra excess for £100 less premium. Now all down to me as to whether it was worth it.

I understand that Liverpool Victoria's latest policies only factor in Postcode and Age - so these are goig to make a big difference. Obiously no claims bonus and convictions etc will make a difference but occupation, garaged/off road parking, security etc don't make any difference at all.
